A History of Legal Services in Stawell
The Stawell practice has its origins in O’Driscolls Solicitors, established by Eugene O’Driscoll in the late 1940’s.
In 2011, O’Driscolls Solicitors was acquired by Yvonne Derbyshire, who continued the firm’s strong local focus and commitment to personalised legal service. The practice operated as Derbyshire Legal, under which it assisted the Stawell community for more than a decade.
Following Ms Derbyshire’s retirement in early 2025, the practice has transitioned to O’Brien & Smith Lawyers, ensuring the continued availability of trusted legal services in Stawell and the surrounding region.
