A Proud Local Legal History Since 1907
O’Brien & Smith Lawyers has a long and intricate history in Horsham, tracing back to 1907 when Reginald Wilmoth (later Mayor of Horsham) and Tyson Asbridge Pearson established legal offices on Firebrace Street in the town.
Over the years the practice changed hands and locations, before being acquired by Denis O’Brien in 1975. Denis operated the firm at its current location on McLachlan Street for more than four decades, during which time the firm grew through acquisition and expanded its legal services to better support the Wimmera community.
In 2019, the firm’s name changed from O’Brien Lawyers to O’Brien & Smith Lawyers to reflect the appointment of Patrick Smith as principal.
Today, our Horsham office continues this tradition of local legal service — combining over a century of regional presence with a modern, client-focused approach to law.
